Global insurance and asset management company seeks a responsible, organized, dynamic and team-oriented person.

Role Summary

Experience to design, build, and scale intelligent workflow automation solutions that transform business operations. This role goes far beyond traditional RPA — you will combine robotic process automation with AI/ML capabilities, API integrations, and modern orchestration platforms to create end-to-end automated workflows that are intelligent, adaptive, and self-healing.

You will partner directly with business stakeholders to identify high-impact automation opportunities, then architect and deliver solutions that measurably reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and accelerate business processes. You will also be responsible for building the automation platform and framework that enables the organization to scale automation adoption across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Workflow Automation & Intelligent Process Design

• Design and implement end-to-end automated workflows that span multiple systems, departments, and data sources;
• Combine RPA, AI/ML, API orchestration, and event-driven automation to create intelligent, adaptive workflows;
• Build attended and unattended automation solutions for complex business processes: claims processing, underwriting triage, compliance reporting, customer onboarding, and document processing;
• Implement AI-augmented automation: integrating LLMs for document understanding, natural language processing of emails/tickets, intelligent data extraction (OCR + NLP), and decision support;
• Design human-in-the-loop patterns for processes requiring judgment: approval workflows, exception handling, and escalation routing;
• Build self-healing automation: error detection, automated recovery, retry logic, and graceful degradation.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

• Develop and deploy RPA bots using enterprise platforms: UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism;
• Build reusable automation components: UI interaction libraries, data extraction modules, system connectors, and error handling frameworks;
• Design RPA solutions that are resilient to UI changes: using computer vision, anchor-based selectors, and API-first approaches where available;
• Implement RPA governance: bot lifecycle management, credential vaulting, execution scheduling, and audit logging;
• Optimize bot performance: parallel execution, queue-based processing, and resource utilization monitoring.

Business Process Optimization

• Partner with business stakeholders to conduct process discovery workshops, value stream mapping, and automation feasibility assessments;
• Analyze existing business processes to identify automation candidates using criteria: volume, frequency, error rate, manual effort, and business impact;
• Design optimized target-state processes that leverage automation, eliminating unnecessary steps before automating;
• Quantify automation ROI: time savings, error reduction, cost avoidance, and throughput improvement;
• Build process documentation: current-state and future-state process maps, automation design documents (ADDs), and solution architecture diagrams.

AI-Powered Automation (Intelligent Automation)

• Integrate AI capabilities into automation workflows: document AI (OCR + NLP), intelligent email routing, automated data classification, and predictive process triggers;
• Build intelligent document processing (IDP) pipelines using AI models for extraction, classification, and validation of unstructured documents (invoices, claims, contracts, correspondence);
• Implement conversational automation: chatbots and virtual assistants that trigger backend workflows based on natural language interactions;
• Design AI-driven decision automation: rules engines augmented with ML models for risk scoring, eligibility determination, and anomaly detection;
• Leverage LLMs for automated content generation: reports, summaries, correspondence, and notifications.

Automation Platform & Scalability

• Build and maintain the automation platform: orchestration engine, bot farm management, credential management, and monitoring dashboards;
• Design automation architecture patterns: event-driven triggers, scheduled execution, API-initiated workflows, and hybrid cloud execution;
• Implement automation CI/CD: version control for automation scripts, automated testing of workflows, staged deployments, and rollback capabilities;
• Build reusable automation frameworks and component libraries that accelerate delivery for future automation initiatives;
• Design and maintain automation monitoring and alerting: execution logs, performance dashboards, SLA tracking, and proactive failure detection.

Required Qualifications / Skills

• 6+ years of experience in automation engineering, with at least 3+ years working with enterprise RPA platforms and workflow automation;
• Production experience with at least one major RPA platform: UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism;
• Strong programming skills in Python and at least one of: C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or PowerShell;
• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end automated workflows across multiple systems and data sources;
• Hands-on experience with API integration: REST APIs, SOAP, GraphQL, webhook handlers, and authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, API keys);
• Experience with workflow orchestration platforms: Temporal, Apache Airflow, Prefect, n8n, or equivalent;
• Strong analytical skills: ability to decompose complex business processes, identify optimization opportunities, and quantify automation ROI;
• Experience with database systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and data manipulation for automation workflows;
• Solid understanding of CI/CD practices, version control (Git), and automated testing;
• Fluent English, both written and spoken;
• Proven experience in international projects, including collaboration with global and multicultural teams;
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into automation workflows: document AI, NLP, intelligent classification, or LLM-powered features;
• Familiarity with intelligent document processing (IDP): OCR engines (Tesseract, Azure AI Document Intelligence, AWS Textract), NLP extraction, and validation;
• UiPath Advanced Developer Certification, Microsoft Power Platform certifications, or Automation Anywhere certifications;
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or healthcare — industries with high volumes of document-centric, rule-based processes;
• Knowledge of process mining tools: Celonis, UiPath Process Mining, Microsoft Process Advisor;
• Experience with low-code/no-code platforms: Power Apps, Retool, Appsmith — for building automation front-ends and dashboards;
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Event Grid, AWS EventBridge;
• Experience with AI agent frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI) for building autonomous workflow agents;
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to automated business processes (audit trails, data retention, SOX compliance).

Base Requirements

DevOps Experience

• All team members must demonstrate hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud platforms, and deployment automation.

Infrastructure as Code

• Proficiency with at least one IaC toolchain (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation/Bicep) is required across all roles — not just DevOps.

Cloud Platforms

• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Version Control & Collaboration

• Git-based workflows, code review practices, and collaborative development are expected of every team member.

Experience Requirements

• Proven delivery experience in international or multi-region projects is required.
• Previous experience mentoring engineers or acting as a technical lead is strongly preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
